A scholarship is financial aid that does not have to be paid back. Scholarships have differing eligibility criteria and deadlines, so it is important that you read scholarship descriptions carefully.
The university offers hundreds of special-eligibility scholarships with a wide variety of eligibility criteria. To apply each year, file the Special Scholarships Application by the priority date of February 1.
Second-Year Transformational Experience Program (STEP)
Second-year students on the Columbus campus may participate in STEP (Second-Year Transformational Experience Program) and receive a $2,000 STEP Fellowship. Read more about STEP.
Short-Term University Assistance is administered by Ohio State to assist with temporary financial difficulty or extenuating circumstances. Approval is required by the Office of International Affairs.
